On May 24th 2009 I was honored to be crowned Mrs. Washington America 2009. As an environmental scientist, I understand that climate change is one of America's greatest environmental challenges. As Mrs. Washington America 2009, my goal is to inspire others to do what they can to reduce their carbon footprint by showing what steps are being made on an individual level and throughout the United States.
Please check out the following link for ways to reduce your carbon footprint and follow my blog for information about what is currently happening around climate change.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science from Western Washington University and currently work as a Senior Environmental Planner for Snohomish County Public Works. My hobbies include jewelry design, modeling, acting, hiking, raising Japanese koi and gardening with native plants.
